Description |
This vessel is brown with red design on the interior and exterior. The interior design has a two-fold rotation, consisting of rectangles each with two perpendicular lines (one at the end and one in the middle). The exterior design are repeated 'Z' motifs. The surface has been slipped with a buff color, and then smoothed. Excessive wear is present on one exterior side of the vessel, suggesting that the the bowl was used as a scoop, likely by a right handed person. Several chips are missing from the rim on the same side as the exterior surface wear. No restoration or reconstruction has occurred. |
