Description |
This vessel is light brown. The exterior has incised design consisting of parallel lines at regular intervals below the rim forming bands filled with punched dot designs. The exterior surface on half the vessel is missing, exposing the corse sand temper of the vessel. The incised lines and punched dot decorions is not a common technique of decoration for prehistoric southwestern ceramics. It is possible that this vessel originates in mexico or further south. A Crack is present from the rim to the vessel's maximum diameter. |
