Catalog Number 0024 (Quick)
Object Name Pottery, Artifact
Description This vessel is a gray-buff color with red-brown paint preserved in patches on the vessel's exterior. The design is not discernible. The color of the vessel indicates that it was secondarily burned, perhaps as part of the cremation (burial) ceremony. Excessive ware is present on the vessel's exterior base and the vertical rim is very worn with many chips removed. Could this vessel have been sealed at one time and when opened parts of the rim were damaged?
